FSMA 204 adds enhanced record-keeping for foods on the Food Traceability List, with a compliance date of 20 July 2028. Walmart already requires GS1 standards throughout and has pressed fresh-food suppliers toward enhanced traceability. One resolver-linked identity per SKU gets you ready for both.
